This just arrived, yesterday. I was a little worried that it might have gotten damaged in shipment, because the box was partially open when I received it, but everything inside the box was in good shape. Assembly was only moderately challenging. The directions consist of a series of diagrams with numbers and letters assigned to each part. It took me about 45 minutes total to put it together, by myself. You only need the hex wrench and the allen wrench that come with the bed – no additional tools. When it was done, I was very pleased. It is exactly as pictured, plus it is very sturdy. I think it will last for years. I would definitely recommend this item.

This bed was pretty easy to set up and is pretty strong. The bed comes with an Allen wrench and a little wrench for holding the bolts. Set up is very easy even for a single person and the instructions are clear. Instructions have you set up the head and foot of the bed, then the side rails, and finally the cross bars. Another nice thing is the cross bars have slots they click in and this makes them very secure and they don’t slip or move. It might be best to use just the mattress and not a box spring as it makes the bed very high and the box spring will sometimes slide a little if you aren’t careful. As I said, it seems to be fairly strong; my husband is about 210lbs and he decided to jump on the bed a little to test it out and nothing bent or moved out of place. Also, my back has been doing better. I originally thought it was my mattress causing my already painful spine to hurt more but it turned out the frame we previously had was not built to be really supportive so that is a big bonus for me
